Learning to Be Still
Psalm 46:10 · 5 min read
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
There is a kind of strength that looks like surrender. Not giving up, but loosening your grip on everything you were never meant to carry alone.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” These words are not another item on your to-do list. They are an invitation to stop striving long enough to remember whose hands hold your life.
Perhaps today you are carrying an unanswered prayer, a difficult conversation, or the quiet weight of caring for everyone around you. God sees it. You do not have to explain your weariness before you are welcome in His presence.
Take a slow breath. Let your shoulders soften. Name one thing you can place in His hands today. Stillness does not require a perfect morning. It can begin here, in the middle of your ordinary life.
Today, practice a small pause before your next task. Whisper: Lord, You are God, and I am held. Let that truth be enough for this moment.
