Who we are
Selah The Pause Experience is the data controller for personal data collected through Selah. Contact: selahthepauseexperience@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Account details (email, sign-in credentials or Google sign-in) — to create and secure your account (contract).
- Journal entries and moods — private to you, stored to provide your journal; sent to our AI provider only when you ask for a reflection (contract, consent).
- Sis Circle posts and replies — shown to other members as you choose (contract).
- Retreat requests (name, email, phone, notes) — to arrange your place (contract).
- Membership status — to give you Selah+ access (contract).
- Technical data (IP address, device and usage data) — for security, fraud prevention and improving Selah (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host and run Selah, including our hosting, database and AI providers.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling Selah+, managing subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when no longer needed, or when you ask us to delete your account.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and private-by-default storage for journal entries.
Cookies
Selah uses only essential storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
